- Clinical Description:
- TRANSCEND-T2D-2 is a clinical research study for people with type 2 diabetes. This study will test if an investigational medicine (the medicine being studied) can help with blood glucose (sugar) and weight management compared with an existing treatment for type 2 diabetes.

- Age 18 or older. Male or Female

- Qualifications: Must have been taking 1500mg or more of metformin each day for at least 3 months (with or without SGLT2i) and Have HbA1c levels of 7.0% to 10.5% BMI is a number that compares a person’s weight to their height. It can be used to tell if a person may be at risk of some health conditions. If you do not know what your BMI is, you can ask your doctor. HbA1c is a blood test that measures your blood glucose levels over the past few months. If you do not know what your HbA1c is, the study team can check it for you.
