- This research study compares the study medicine, Zenagamtide, with insulin glargine in people with type 2 diabetes, to evaluate blood-sugar control, body weight, safety, including cardiovascular outcomes.

- Clinical Description:
- AMBITION 7 is a randomized, double-blind study designed to investigate the effects of the study medicine, Zenagamtide. The study is an open-label, active-comparator study sponsored by Novo Nordisk that compares Zenagamtide (given once weekly by subcutaneous injection) with insulin glargine (given once daily by subcutaneous injection) in people with type 2 diabetes who have an increased risk of diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels and who are living with overweight or obesity. The study will evaluate blood-sugar control, body weight, and safety, including cardiovascular outcomes. Approximately 1,778 participants from 16 countries are planned to be randomized.
- Target Age/Sex:
- 45 years or older, Male & Female, Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at least 6 months ago.
